Italy, 21 May 2024. Festive air in Lamezia Terme for the founder of To Be Academy and make-up artist now established in the world of artistic make-up on an international level. 65 countries around the world, 22 categories and thousands of make-up artists from all over the globe and Ilaria won 3rd place in the "Best use of glitter" category with the look inspired by Leonid Afremov created in 2019 for the poster of the second edition of the Christmas Party Competition, as well as being the only Italian to reach the final stages of the event.
An award coveted by make-up artists from all over the world and which saw works of the highest level competing to win the podium and be acclaimed in a world where it is often difficult to stand out. But Ilaria has talent to spare, especially when it comes to artistic make-up and, not surprisingly, the judges of the IBI Beauty Awards could only confirm what we at To Be, and all the students who have attended our training courses , we already knew. The category in which Ilaria participated could be interpreted in a simplistic or banal way, but she decided to submit to the jury an artistic make-up where the use of glitter is not dominant, but rather aimed at making a body painting work that goes well more opulent. beyond a photographic or artistic beauty make-up: it interprets a philosophy, a concept of beauty outside the ordinary canons and which is capable of surprising and is not. The jury of the international competition itself expressed the great difficulty in being able to award the prizes in the different categories for the great quality of both the looks and the images, nevertheless, Ilaria Matarazzo took 3rd place, which makes us proud, proud and even more certain that training with a person of such caliber can be an immense added value for anyone who intends to undertake this profession, as glossy as it is sacrificed and complex.
